This is a vintage Mazda Works throttle used in an JPN Rqce category for N2 race car.
It was acquired from someone who was affiliated with Mazda Works at the time.
This is an extremely rare item with a history of being used in actual races, and is a highly collectible item that is rarely seen on the market today.
Some metal putty has been applied, which is a remnant of the time when the car was modified to a BOSCH mechanical pump specification for stable fuel supply in N2 races. (See photos 4 and 5)
If you intend to use it with an injector system, it can be adapted by shaping and modifying the relevant area.
One linkage is missing, but it can still be used as a base for repair or fabrication. (See photo 6)
There are scratches and dirt from use, but it is a part with the atmosphere and track record unique to its era.
This is a highly valuable item, especially as a base for a race car collection or for refurbishment.
