DIATONE TX-7 Metallic Red Portable Cassette Player - Power LED Lights Up!
To all cassette culture purists, 80s City Pop lovers, and high-end vintage audio collectors worldwide: This is the moment you have been waiting for. This is the holy grail of Japanese portable audio—the DIATONE TX-7 in its most coveted, gorgeous Metallic Red finish.
A Glimmer of Life: Power-On Confirmed!
The biggest risk with vintage walkman-style players is complete electrical death. But this beast is different! When connected to a power source, the red TAPE/BATT LED indicator lit up instantly! The heart of this Japanese masterpiece is still beating, showing incredible potential for restoration.
Condition & Operation: We have only confirmed that the red power lamp turns on. Full operations such as tape playback, fast-forward, rewind, and audio output have NOT been tested. Therefore, it is sold strictly AS-IS / JUNK for parts or a premium restoration project.
Cosmetic Details (Must Read): Along with vintage scratches and wear, there is a visible crack/break on the corner of the clear acrylic door (Please inspect the close-up in the 2nd photo). Despite this, the beautiful metallic finish and the internal components still retain an incredible, undeniable retro aesthetic.
