A special collaboration T-shirt between LAD MUSICIAN and Japanese rock band THE NOVEMBERS, created to commemorate the 11th anniversary of the band’s formation.

The concept is remarkably simple yet powerful: the number “11,” representing THE NOVEMBERS’ 11th anniversary, is transformed into an enormous graphic covering much of the front.

Instead of using a bright contrasting print, the design combines a black body with a glossy black number graphic. Depending on the light and viewing angle, the oversized “11” subtly emerges from the dark surface. This tonal black-on-black approach gives the piece a restrained yet unmistakably powerful presence.

THE NOVEMBERS are a Japanese rock band centered around Yusuke Kobayashi. Formed in 2005, the band has developed a distinctive musical identity incorporating elements associated with alternative rock, shoegaze, new wave and post-punk.

Their work is characterized by contrasts—delicacy and overwhelming volume, beauty and tension, silence and intensity—along with a carefully constructed visual aesthetic. These qualities have helped THE NOVEMBERS establish a distinctive position within Japan’s alternative rock scene.
